In this video, I will be installing the Thinkware Radar Module. If you use the radar module and set the dashcam’s parking mode to energy saving, the parking mode will last 6X longer. For a 2 channel dashcam such as the U1000, this setup will allow the parking mode to operate up to 2 to 3 days. When an object such as a vehicle is detected, the dashcam will switch from energy saving mode to recording standby mode. If an impact is detected within 30 seconds, the dashcam will save a 20 second video clip. That’s 10 seconds before the impact and 10 seconds after the impact. If no impact is detected within 30 seconds, the dashcam will switch from recording standby mode back to energy saving mode.

In this video, I will be reviewing and installing the Thnikware iVOLT BAB-50 Battery Pack used as backup power for the Thinkware U1000 parking mode.
